OSCAR/Surface webinar #11 - Major outcomes from Cg-18 regarding WIGOS/OSCAR

Dear OSCAR/Surface and WIGOS community,

the next monthly webinar will take place next Monday 1 July at 11h UTC. This time we will present the major outcomes from the recent WMO Congress regarding WIGOS and OSCAR. We will thus present about 1) revised procedures for WIGOS Station Identifiers 2) the WMO Global Observing Network (GBON), 3) the WIGOS Regulatory Material, especially the new WIGOS Metadata Standard and 4) the passing of WIGOS from pre-operational to operational phase.

The monthly webinar on OSCAR/Surface is organized on the first Monday of the month at 11h UTC for the duration of 1 hour. Each time a new topic is presented, after which there is time for questions. Everyone can participate. The main language will be English but webinars in other WMO languages can be organized on request. 

We will be using the new WMO videconferencing tool BlueJeans now, so participants are advised to connect a bit ahead of the official start to make sure you can connect without problems. Use the following instructions to connect to the meeting.
