Training Workshop for Day 4
Day 4: Wednesday – WIS2 Node implementation
On the fourth day, participants will transition from technical operations to strategic implementation, focusing on deploying a WIS2 Node and becoming active data consumers within the WIS 2.0.
The morning sessions cover Node implementation fundamentals, including networking, security, maintenance, and the registration process with WMO’s global infrastructure. Attendees will then explore data discovery and subscription workflows, learning how to find, access, and download datasets as end-users.
In the afternoon, the focus shifts to planning: participants will draft their own WIS2 implementation plans with guidance from experts, preparing for Friday’s discussions. This day bridges theory and practice, equipping teams to operationalize WIS 2.0 in their national contexts.
