WIGOS station Name - can it include special characters?

Hi,

we have a question regarding special characters (č,š,ž) in names of our country station (for example KOROŠČE 0-705-0-1926) which are related to country language.

What si WMO position regarding special characters use? Can we use in OSCAR/Surface as part of our station names or not?

We have also tested new WebTool and inserted one of our stations (KREDARICA) and we can confirm that name constraint has been removed - we have successfully inserted it. We have also successfully made corrections regarding schedules on several stations.

Hi Vesna,

as far as I know there is no position regarding the special character use, as long as the characters are part of the acnii character set/allowed to be used in OSCAR, you can use them.
