Dear WIGOS community,

Please see below a message from my colleague Krunoslav Premec related to a survey on the use of the Guide to Instruments and Methods of Observation (WMO-No. 8):

I am reaching out to you with regard to the Guide to Instruments and Methods of Observation (WMO-No. 8). As you know, the Guide represents the authoritative reference for all matters related to instrumentation and methods of observation in the context of WIGOS. It is used as an essential source of information not only by NMHSs, but also by manufacturers and many other organizations and institutions engaged with measurements. Since its first edition in 1950 with 10 chapters only, the Guide has evolved into a publication comprising nowadays five volumes and 40 chapters.

Although, the Guide is being regularly kept up-to-date, WMO is keen on hearing from the users how the content of the Guide and its availability and accessibility suit users’ needs. In this regard, WMO is conducting a survey on the use of the Guide.

The survey is available at: https://webropol.com/s/WMO-No-8, and will remain open until 15 December 2020.

It would be much appreciated if you could share your views on the use of the Guide by filling out the survey, and if you could disseminate this information among your contacts who might also be willing to do so.

Thank you very much in advance for your valuable feedback and your collaboration!

Stay safe and sane!

Kind regards,

Krunoslav
