Dear Participants,

Thank you for your dedication to this course in the first four weeks!.

Welcome to the  week 5 of this course. The activities of 5th week are now open.

In addition, there are four more modules for this week, but they are optional. You are required to take at least one out of the four. Though completing any one module is sufficient, you are encouraged to take all the four, as they will enrich your knowledge.

This is also the week when you will need to begin preparations for your final writing assignment, which is due on 1100 hrs IST on Tuesday, 1 May 2018. Pl post the topic of your final assignment on course forum.

All the best.

Sir,

I completed the Module- Flood Forecasting Techniques in the previous  DL course on Basic Hydrological sciences. Is it required to complete again for this time? If not, then why the previous score is nor showing while starting the Quiz now?

Hello Siddhartha Biswas-

You should not have to complete a quiz that you have successfully completed in a previous course. The Quiz you refer to was not a COMET MetEd Quiz. It was one that was offered by the NWA so I will let Dattakumar reply.

Thank you for your efforts in this course.

Dear Mr Biswas,

As informed by Matt, it is not required to complete the module again, if it has been already completed during the basic course. However if you desire you can again do it again to improve the score and also to revisit the content.

Unfortunately, the previous score for the NWA developed modules will not be reflected in the current grade book. This is because in the database, there is no link between the grade book of this course and the grade book of basic course. However for the COMET developed models modules, the previous scores can be imported in the current grade book, so the previous scores are also visible.

Though it is really not required to take the module again, my advice would be to go through it once, if that is not a major issue for you. Otherwise you can inform us your previous score of this module  and we will the update the gradebook manually.

Best wishes,

Dattakumar
