Dear CALMeters,

We are excited to announce that the Community for Advance Learning in Meteorology and Related Disciplines (CALMet) Working Group in collaboration with the Consortium of WMO Education and Training Collaborating Partners (CONECT) Management Group and WMO Regional Training Center (RTC) Italy is preparing for the Joint CONECT - CALMet Conference 2025 in Florence, Italy, scheduled for 24 - 28 November 2025. While the place and date is still being finalized, we encourage you to mark your calendars and stay tuned for updates.

Since 1993, CALMet conferences have been conducted every two years to help the community in meteorology and related disciplines in advancing education and training activities in our fields. It is a forum for trainers, practitioners and professionals to share their experiences, ideas as well as lesson-learned and best practices. Bringing together the new and old colleagues in our community to engage in meaningful discussions, knowledge sharing and professional development, the events also offer the opportunity for interaction and collaboration in applying new technologies and learning techniques and strategies in the fields.

To ensure this conference meets your needs, we invite you to participate in a short survey to share your interest areas and preferred topics for the sessions. We expect your input to be available before 7 March 2025 to help us to shape an event that is both valuable and relevant to you.

Fill out the survey here

More details, including the final conference data, session topics and the registration link will be announced soon. Stay connected and watch for updates on CALMet Commons !
