Following the announcement in mid-January 2024 of the launch of the new Incident Management System for Regional WIGOS Centres (IMS-RWC), we are excited to confirm that the new system has been successfully launched and is available via login to all relevant users from https://jira.wmo.int/.
Those of you who have been registered users in the previous system hosted by the European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) are encouraged to access and use the new IMS-RWC, now hosted by WMO, and communicate any issues you might find via this email address, please: <WDQMS-IMS@wmo.int>.
We would like to take this opportunity to express a big thank to ECMWF for having kindly supported the development of the IMS prototype and for hosting and operating it for several years, having allowed, in particular, RWCs and National Focal Points from various regions to interact in performing the RWCs functions.
Thank you also to the experts and RWCs representatives for having contributed with requirements, and feedback during the test phase, as well as to WMO Secretariat colleagues, from WIGOS and WIS branches, who contributed to the development of this WMO IMS-RWC.
