Hi CALMeters
This is the last day of our CALMet. We appreciate your dedication to coming to the sessions, despite the fact of how wide variety of our time zones,
Yesterday at 5.00 UTC, we started with An engaging new challenge: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and examinations workshop hosted by Wilfried. In 1,5 hours based on questions, we shared opinions and discussed many different ideas on how we, as trainers, could deal with AI in an assessment environment and maybe even could use it as well. After that, we learned more about the approach the Hamburg University has taken in this.
Then at 12 UTC, in the session; Supporting the Training for Other Professionals and Public chaired by Felipe, we saw wonderful examples of ways our colleagues are busy disseminating meteorological & climatological information and warnings to professionals outside of the Meteorological community and the broader public. Great to see that some outreach programs have been implemented by NMHS worldwide.
At 22 UTC we finished the day with the workshop Developing Spatial Thinking Skills with 3D visualizations hosted by Keliann and Vanessa in which we saw what COMET is doing in this area and discussed our experiences, ideas, and opportunities for the future.
Next to that it is great to see how the asynchronous forum discussions on the Group pages are being intensively used now please let them continue. All past sessions recordings are available on the "Information for Synchronous Sessions & the Recordings of the Events that Happened in this Group" page.
The recordings of the first session you will find on the page of Group 7. The recording of 12 UTC session will become available in Group 5 and the recording of the 22 UTC session in the page of Group 2.
And what the last day will bring us?
At 05.00 UTC, Bernie and colleagues will make us look in the mirror about how we, as trainers and human beings, try to communicate about Meteorological-related stuff with our interlocutors.
