In 2022, we will launch our BUFR bulletins with 10-minute and hourly meteorological data, which will include all of our automated stations. The station numbers will be the WSIs.
To the best of our knowledge, we need to send a metno message about each new bulletin and its changes.
In our case, the message would look something like this with the 135-item WSI station list:
AA 07/12/2020 6 VIENNA HUNGARY BUDAPEST 15/01/2021 A ISAS01 HABP FM94-XIII EXT. 01,02,04,05,07,08,10,11,13,14,16,17,19,20,22,23 0-20000-0-12766 0-20000-0-12910 0-348-1-58213 0-348-1-72512 0-348-1-52733 0-348-1-47710 0-348-1-38528 0-348-1-61700 0-348-1-47505 0-348-1-37405 0-348-1-26212 0-348-1-36407 0-348-1-17306 0-348-1-12875 0-20000-0-12925 0-20000-0-12805 0-20000-0-12756 0-348-1-44121 0-348-1-65105 0-348-1-58300 0-348-1-34429 0-348-1-33832 0-348-1-43613 0-348-1-28104 0-348-1-48302 0-348-1-55211 0-348-1-52409 0-348-1-44214 0-348-1-46214 0-348-1-73505 0-348-1-34712 0-348-1-12990 0-20000-0-12812 0-348-1-36500 0-348-1-64710 0-348-1-74500 0-348-1-26515 0-348-1-29403 0-348-1-33605 0-348-1-32805 0-348-1-14707 0-348-1-36301 0-348-1-73313 0-348-1-62707 0-348-1-44167 0-348-1-44710 0-348-1-47200 0-348-1-43617 0-348-1-37613 0-348-1-38305 0-348-1-44811 0-348-1-34500 0-348-1-63101 0-348-1-53521 0-348-1-24424 0-348-1-53811 0-348-1-52614 0-348-1-16414 0-348-1-51812 0-348-1-62414 0-348-1-44165 0-348-1-35605 0-348-1-39307 0-348-1-35800 0-348-1-38605 0-348-1-23714 0-348-1-55405 0-348-1-63210 0-20000-0-12815 0-20000-0-12866 0-348-1-12790 0-348-1-24120 0-348-1-27615 0-348-1-39116 0-348-1-35116 0-348-1-64209 0-348-1-15811 0-348-1-63707 0-348-1-61617 0-20000-0-12950 0-348-1-12984 0-348-1-28700 0-348-1-61709 0-348-1-65700 0-348-1-66103 0-348-1-26710 0-348-1-67507 0-348-1-54817 0-348-1-44505 0-348-1-24607 0-348-1-58102 0-348-1-54107 0-348-1-34433 0-348-1-25713 0-348-1-52523 0-348-1-52309 0-348-1-64713 0-348-1-27406 0-348-1-35315 0-348-1-12880 0-20000-0-12822 0-348-1-12988 0-20000-0-12830 0-348-1-47606 0-348-1-72805 0-348-1-17419 0-348-1-53407 0-348-1-63305 0-348-1-28609 0-348-1-36115 0-348-1-62612 0-348-1-38317 0-348-1-46304 0-348-1-25503 0-348-1-48101 0-348-1-44527 0-20000-0-12870 0-20000-0-12851 0-20000-0-12935 0-20000-0-12847 0-20000-0-12786 0-348-1-44625 0-348-1-33431 0-348-1-55508 0-348-1-48507 0-348-1-27815 0-348-1-26505 0-348-1-35418 0-348-1-73110 0-348-1-46313 0-348-1-36308 0-348-1-55808 0-348-1-43416 0-348-1-45208 0-348-1-61104
There will be twice as many stations (about 400) in the bulletins later, because we will also include meteorological data from the hydrological stations, so the metno message would be twice as long if we wanted to announce any changes.
Can we not list all the times and stations in the metno message?
Instead of a list, for the first and one time we would issue something like this:
AA 07/12/2020 6 VIENNA HUNGARY BUDAPEST 15/01/2021 E ISAD01 HABP FM94-XIII EXT. BUFR EVERY HOUR, EVERY AWS MET STATIONS USING WSI, BUFR DESCRIPTOR=307091,301150
If a station closes or a new station is installed, it would automatically take effect in these bulletins. We don’t want to list the old and new 400-item WSI station list every time. I’ve been looking through recent metno messages, but I haven’t come across anything like this. Is there already an example or guideline for this case?
