This contribution is a self-paced module delivered on the Bureau of Meteorology's Moodle-based LMS. The course is a demonstration of the use of Articulate 360 authoring tools along with core Moodle resources and activities.

This course introduces the basic concepts, structure and scientific basis behind Numerical Weather Prediction models, and how their output is used in the forecast process. It covers the broad WMO Basic Instruction Package-Meteorology (BIP-M) learning outcomes required in the field of numerical weather prediction.

The course includes two novel interactive exercises, (1) an on-screen drawing tool, and (2) a Jupyter Notebook coding activity. Your feedback and suggested improvements to these activities are most welcome.
