Hi everyone,
As you've seen today, AI tools can work faster than humans—but they also make confident errors that can mislead learners. This highlights a core skill for AI use: constant vigilance. We must treat AI output as a first draft, critically evaluate it, and improve it before sharing with learners.
It's equally important to be transparent about our AI usage and set clear expectations for how we want learners to use these tools themselves.
My hope is that together we can harness AI to augment—not replace—our training and learning capabilities. Think Star Trek, where technology enhances human potential, rather than The Terminator, where we offload thinking to machines and become obsolete. The choice is ours: use AI as a tool that makes us more capable, or let it do our thinking for us.
