Today’s sessions across the three time zones highlight fresh approaches, creative tools, and forward-looking practices shaping the future of meteorological education and training. Below is a simple overview of what’s happening today in each region.
💬 Eastern Programme (01:00–03:30 UTC)
Today’s Eastern online programme highlights AI-driven innovation in training and forecasting, featuring sessions on using AIGC and RAG for learning materials, AI-based rainfall classification, intelligent assistants for meteorological education, and interactive dashboards for improved forecast communication. These presentations show how AI can enrich learning and strengthen operational capability.
💬 Florence - Western Hybrid Programme (08:00–17:00 UTC)
Innovation Day in Florence features a mix of hybrid and in-person sessions, including:

Morning session including: A keynote on next-generation meteorological training, A session on challenges and opportunities for incorporating AI-ESP technologies into WIPPS, A debate on the role of AI-driven weather forecasting models in future training
