WIGOS Learning Portal: Adding Station Class

This morning I was helping our Australian space weather person with input observations metadata. He mentioned that Canada had several space weather stations as well.

I looked at a couple and noticed a few differences, and wanted to ask a couple questions.

I've entered Australian stations using the "Space weather (experimental entry) Program/ network affiliation. A global search only locates the 12 Australian stations.

If I search on Station class 'space weather station' I find ~120 Canadian stations and 1 Japanese.
- E.g.
- https://oscar.wmo.int/surface/index.html#/search/station/stationReportDetails/0-124-10010-927000
However, if go in edit mode, I cannot edit Station Class to add Space Weather. Do you know how this can be done?
Richard Marshall is keen to be able to see all stations globally and have a consistent standard for space weather station entry.

Dear Karl

Station classes are automatically assigned by the application based on stations metadata.
Moving your mouse over the station class of interest in the OSCAR/Surface "search for stations" page will allow you to see which metadata is needed for the assignment.
The "space weather" station class requires the application area "space weather".
