The WDQMS does not recognize the programming of conventional stations as it is not considering the “Reporting interval “of “Observations / measurements”.

Then the system AUTOMATICALLY sets 8 daily readings.

Our conventional stations are programmed in Oscar to perform 3 observation daily.

Thus, on normal days, in which the 3 observations are performed, an orange dot appears on the WDQMS (3 observations /8 Expected lectures = less than 80%).

Only when we enter in Oscar, edit the station, click Save on the observation schedules, the “Reporting interval” of 1 hour that is already defined starts to appear.

As there are hundreds of conventional stations, with 11 Observations / measurements schedules, with three daily observations, we have thousands of clicks to update.

Would it be possible to solve this bug by updating Oscar?

Thank you for your message and sharing the issue with reporting interval.

If you can send some examples, it would be very useful to understand the issues much better.

My first and fast comments for the issues you raised are as follows:

1)      WDQMS gets the reporting interval information from OSCAR/Surface as registered by the NFPs (or metadata editors) and there is no difference in WDQMS for that process for automatic or conventional stations .

2)      It is also possible to define multiple schedules for reporting interval in OSCAR/Surface depending on the operational conditions of the stations.

3)      You can use OSCAR/Surface Web Client Tool (https://oscar.tools.wmo.int/web-client) for updating the metadata in OSCAR/Surface (https://vimeo.com/692187140).
