The Programme and Schedule of SYMET-14 are included below to support your planning for active participation in the symposium.

Day 1 will set the scene for the important discussions we will have during the symposium.  All plenary sessions in Day 1 will have interpreters providing simultaneous translation in the 6 WMO official languages.

    • Days 2 and 3: Thematic and Regional and Language-specific Working Groups

Days 2 and 3 will be devoted to Thematic Working Group Discussions during the Plenary time period, as well as Regional and Language-specific Working Groups Discussions. The outputs will include recommended actions. Nine themes will be addressed in the Thematic Working Groups and eight Regional and Language-specific Working Groups will take place. More information about the Thematic and Regional Working Groups is provided below. After reading the information we ask you to indicate which Groups you intend to participate by choosing your options in the "Sign up"activities.

Please check the Programme for the times of the Working Groups!

    • Day 4

The final day is primarily devoted to discussing and agreeing to the recommendations to be shared with the broad WMO community via the SYMET-14 Symposium Statement. The Statement will contain recommendations to be considered by Members and the Secretariat to help ensure that education and training providers are prepared for the current and coming rapid changes anticipated. All plenary sessions in Day 4 will have interpreters providing simultaneous translation in the 6 WMO official languages.

    • Note: This is a draft version, as it will go through editorial review. The content and messages conveyed in this final version was approved by participants of SYMET-14 on the 25th of November 2021, and will not be modified.

    • Poster Sessions

Thirty three posters were submitted for presentation during SYMET-14. Each poster has its own discussion forum where you can write comments and questions for the authors.

In addition, please use the activity below to vote for your 3 favorite posters.

The schedule of SYMET-14 includes time for poster viewing every day to allow plenty of opportunities for viewing all posters during the week, but note that you can visit posters at any time. On Day 4, a Plenary discussion about the poster themes will also take place, and interpretation will be provided.
