How to enrol, take the course and get a badge - Instructions

Welcome to the self-paced online course on National Frameworks for Climate Services (NFCS).

The course consists of five interactive and engaging modules designed to guide you through the key concepts, principles, processes, and practical considerations involved in developing and implementing a National Framework for Climate Services.

You are free to complete the course at your own pace. The modules must be taken in sequence, and each module must be completed before the next one is unlocked. The total estimated study time is approximately 3 hours. You may pause and resume the course at any time, allowing you to learn at a pace that suits your schedule.

How to Enrol

1. Go to the course page. In the upper-right corner, you will see: “You are currently using guest access (Log in)”.
2. Click “Log in”.
3. If you already have an ETRP Moodle account, log in and proceed directly to Step 9.
4. If you do not have an account, scroll down to “Is this your first time here?” and click “Create new account”.
5. Complete all required fields, complete the reCAPTCHA, and click “Create my new account”.
6. A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provided.
7. Click the link in the email to confirm and verify your registration.
8. Once your account has been verified, click “Continue”.
9. Return to the NFCS course homepage.
10. In the Actions menu (gear icon) in the upper-right corner, select “Enrol me in this course”.
11. On the confirmation page, click “Enrol me”.
12. You are now successfully enrolled. A progress block should appear on the right-hand side of the page, allowing you to track your course progress.

How to get the Badge:

To earn your WMO-certified badge, you must:

• Complete all 5 modules;
• A minimum score of 70% on each quiz is required to successfully complete the course;
• Complete the Final Assessment; and chieve a minimum score of 70% to receive the badge

Please make sure to update your Moodle profile after enrolling. Your personal information is required for the issuance of the WMO-certified badge.
