Technical Requirements

During the WIS2-training, participants will be instructed how to send and receive MQTT messages exchanged using the WIS2 message standard. Participants will also be guided through the process of setting up their own WIS2 Node, using the wis2box-software, on a dedicate student VM provided on the local network.

To ensure the smooth delivery of the training content we ask participants to setup the following programs on their laptops prior to attending the training:

• Putty (or any other ssh-client, to access the student-VM)
• WinSCP (or any other SCP-client, to upload/browse files on the student VM)
• MQTT-explorer: to view messages exchanged over the MQTT Protocol
