Overview
The WIS 2.0 Training Workshop, scheduled for November 17-21, 2025 in Ankara, Türkiye, is designed to enhance knowledge and teach practical operational skills related to the WIS 2.0 system for WMO Members in RA VI.

This is an in-person training event, where participants will engage in hands-on exercises using virtualized machines hosted on WMO mini-servers made available in the training room.

The training will be held 17th – 21st November 2025 at the WMO Regional Training Centre in Ankara.

  • To understand the WIS 2.0 architecture

  • To understand the GTS/WIS1-to-WIS2 transition plan

  • To be able to install and configure the “WIS2 in a box” software

  • To be able to implement and operate a WIS2 node to share data on WIS2

  • To be able to discover and download data from WIS2
