Brindusa Cristina Chiotoroiu - Future seafarers training in marine meteorology: in-class/ online and out-of-class/ onboard

The presentation refers to the types of training of nautical students from Constanta Maritime University on few meteorological instruments and on reporting weather observations before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. We presented, with the help of images and examples how we managed to achieve the IMO training outcomes in order to cover the minimum standard of competence for officers in charge of a navigational watch, regardless of the teaching-learning system (in-class, out of class or online). Students' opinions on different types of training are also presented as well as the main challenges during the online training.
