The UK Met office is trying to devise a system to auto upload our Metadata in WMO OSCAR Surface.
We have a suspicion we may be the only Met service using this, mainly
based on the issues we are encountering with deployments.
We are very conscious that the more complex our deployments section gets, the more likely that we are developing something bespoke that might not survive the transition to a new system.
A couple of questions:
- Is any member already using the auto upload facility in OSCAR, if so are there any lessons learnt?
- Is there any information regarding the OSCAR replacement and the form the auto upload process might take. Might this be radically different?
Any assistance and/ or advice would be much appreciated.
