I wonder if we can continue a Centennial observing station series to an automatic station just next to the, now closed, manual station? It's the 0-20000-0-02485 Stockholm station that was closed in april 2024 which is recognised as a Centennial station but we continue with automatic measurements on the neighbouring station 0-20000-0-02484 Stockholm/Observatoriet. The automatic station has been in use since 1961.

For the sake of the WIGOS community present in this forum, let me share here that in these cases the Centennial station owner/operator is encouraged to develop a study on the impact of the relocation (and automation) on the original time series. Based on the results of such study the recognized centennial station should be re-assessed in due time.
