Assignment - Dissemination Options: Section 2.3.2. lists the various venues for disseminating and receiving marine forecasts and warnings. Assess your organization's capabilities to use these venues. See the Assignment link below for more details. 

Assignment - Multi-hazard, Impacts-based Forecasting Considerations: An effectively implemented, multi-hazard impacts-based forecasting system (MHEWS) is an excellent example of customer-centric service. An impact-based approach puts the customer's needs front and center. It takes into account how, when, and where weather events will impact customer activities and well-being. Integrating MHEWS into all NMHSs is a goal of the WMO as a means to save lives and property.

Assignment - Common Alerting Protocol (CAP): The Common Alerting Protocol provides a standard for issuing and receiving alert messages. It is used by many emergency response and forecasting agencies worldwide. Watch a video that introduces CAP and investigate whether CAP is already implemented at your NMHS and partner agencies.

Assignment - Case Study Forum

Based on the case study present in the Course Introduction, answer the following questions:

• What communication options might help to mitigate such incidents in the future?
